The LA Times today endorses Arnold for governor, concluding:
Schwarzenegger correctly senses that a leader with good instincts and confidence is more effective — and more inspiring — than one with a good plan and a lot of details. Angelides may be more specific about many of California's problems. But Schwarzenegger is more likely to solve them. The Times endorses Arnold Schwarzenegger for governor.
Um, haven’t we had enough of leaders who think they have instincts and confidence, without any capacity for actual governance? Is it really a good idea to endorse the concept of demagogues as leaders of a democracy?

While comparatively, Angelides has the charisma (and stature) of a gnat, don’t we want someone who has actual ideas, based in reality, governing? I think Arnold genuinely loves California, but he also loves groping women.
